Both. Retainers are my preference for ongoing relationships — they work better for clients and for me. But I take on project work regularly, particularly store builds, theme customisation, and technical integrations. Some of my best long-term client relationships started as one-off projects.
Primarily founder-led DTC brands on Shopify — typically stores doing meaningful revenue who need a trusted technical partner rather than a large agency. I work across most product categories but have particular depth in lifestyle, home, food, and fashion brands.
For retainer clients, I typically start within 2–4 weeks depending on current availability. For project work it depends on scope — smaller projects can often start sooner. Drop me a message and I'll give you a straight answer on timing.
It depends on the tier — see the retainers page for a full breakdown. In short: the Ongoing Partner tier covers maintenance, fixes, advice, and availability. The Growth Partner tier adds proactive strategy, development work, and a monthly store review.
Across the UK and Europe, occasionally further afield — all of it remote. Time zone overlap helps for day-to-day communication, but most of my work is async-friendly; a preview link and a written scope travel well.
